A delicious and easy alternative to traditional pizza, naan pizza is perfect for busy weeknights, casual dinners, or fun gatherings. With its crisp texture, customizable toppings, and quick prep time, it’s a satisfying meal the whole family will love.
4 naan breads (plain or garlic)
1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup cooked chicken, sausage, or pepperoni (optional)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Fresh basil or cilantro, for garnish
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place naan breads on the baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
Spread a layer of marinara sauce over each naan, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
Add sliced onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and any optional proteins.
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning or chili flakes for extra flavor.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the edges are golden.
Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil or cilantro, slice, and serve hot.
For a crispier base, bake the naan alone for 3–4 minutes before adding toppings.
Swap the marinara sauce with BBQ, pesto, or tikka masala sauce for different flavor profiles.
Try using feta, goat cheese, or paneer for variety.
Great for a DIY pizza night—let everyone choose their own toppings.
