A delicious and easy alternative to traditional pizza, naan pizza is perfect for busy weeknights, casual dinners, or fun gatherings. With its crisp texture, customizable toppings, and quick prep time, it’s a satisfying meal the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 naan breads (plain or garlic)

  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 bell pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced

  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken, sausage, or pepperoni (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Fresh basil or cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Place naan breads on the baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.

  • Spread a layer of marinara sauce over each naan, leaving a small border around the edges.

  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.

  • Add sliced onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and any optional proteins.

  • Sprinkle with Italian seasoning or chili flakes for extra flavor.

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the edges are golden.

  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil or cilantro, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a crispier base, bake the naan alone for 3–4 minutes before adding toppings.

  • Swap the marinara sauce with BBQ, pesto, or tikka masala sauce for different flavor profiles.

  • Try using feta, goat cheese, or paneer for variety.

  • Great for a DIY pizza night—let everyone choose their own toppings.
