1 lb fresh salmon, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
½ cup cornstarch or arrowroot powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp neutral oil (vegetable or avocado oil)
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
¼ cup mayonnaise
2–3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
1–2 tbsp Sriracha (adjust to taste)
1 tsp honey or agave syrup (optional)
1 tsp white vinegar or lime juice
For Garnish:
Sliced scallions
Sesame seeds
Lime wedges
Fresh cilantro (optional)
Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
Dredge the salmon in cornstarch, shaking off any excess.
In a small bowl, whisk together all the sauce ingredients until smooth. Adjust the heat and sweetness as desired.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon cubes in a single layer and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
Transfer the salmon to a bowl and pour the sauce over. Gently toss to coat.
Garnish with scallions, sesame seeds, and cilantro. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
For a healthier version, bake or air-fry the salmon.
Use light mayo or Greek yogurt to lighten the sauce.
Reduce Sriracha for a milder flavor.
Pairs well with rice, salad, or steamed vegetables.
