Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 small yellow onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.

  • Add diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 more minute.

  • Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture, stir to coat, and cook for 1-2 minutes.

  • Gradually stir in beef broth, then add heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

  • Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheese until fully melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Let it heat through for 2-3 minutes.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or sausage for variation.

  • Add vegetables like mushrooms or spinach for extra nutrition.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

  • Reheat with a splash of cream or milk to loosen the sauce.
